“A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words”
Photo Essay Culminating Task for the 20's and 30's
THE TASK: On your own, you will create a photo essay of a major figure or event (from the 1920's or 1930's) using Microsoft Photo Story. In particular, you will be asked to highlight key events or themes in the life of your figure or key moments in your event. You will create a Photo Story (a visual representation), including music, voice-overs and captions with at least ________ slides (including your title page image).

STEPS TO TAKE:
Choose your topic (listed below) and decide:
a) What kind of slides you want to create that best represent the figure or event
b) What kind of music will best suit your slides (rap, hip-hop, country, soft rock, metal, jazz, classical).
c) What kinds of pictures you will incorporate into your slide show as they could include a symbol (an object which fits your visual representation), pictures of the person in significant moments, or pictures of the key moments in your event
d) What captions will be critical in each slide and which ones will have “voice over”?
• you must include two-sentence captions for at least ____________ of the slides in your slide show and you must have at least _______________ slides which include a voice over, which narrates your required sentences and give a little bit of extra information about the picture.
e) What kind of title page you want which must include: your name, a unique title which summarizes your photographic gallery, and a picture which suits your title.
