The Task…
To
create a photo ‘essay’ on the topic of World War I using Microsoft Photo
Story. In particular, you will be asked to highlight
Your Photo Story must include…

A minimum of 8 slides (including a title
page)
·
A minimum of 8 images (including your
title page image)
·
Your title page must include: Your name,
a unique title that summarizes what you feel happened to Canadians in
WWI (
·
Each image must represent a ‘defining
moment’ in the history of WWI. It can include any of the people, places
or events in the topics we have covered in the unit such as;
o
Causes of War
o
Trench War fare
o
Battles/Weapons
o
War in the Air/War at Sea
o
The Last 100 Days/ The Treaty of
o
Propaganda
o
Conscription
o
The War at Home/Women and the War

Each image must be accompanied by 2-3
sentences on why you feel that moment is important, and how your image
represents that significance.

At least 3 of your slides must include
a voice over which narrates your required sentences and gives a little
bit of extra information on why you feel your image is important.
Putting it all together…
- Mr. Nevin will be giving our class a lesson on Photo
Story on _____________________. It is VERY important that you attend
this class so that you understand the task and have time to compile
your work.
- Although this time will be given in class, you are
expected to come prepared with what ‘defining moments’ you want to
include in your work so that you can make the most of your time in
the library.
Submitting your Work
Once
your Photo Essay is finished and polished you have 2 options.
1. Save
your Photo Story file on to a flashcard or other removable device.
2. Save
a copy your activity and email it as an attachment to Ms. Chartrand
at
