Novel Study - Acceleration Photostory Assignment

As a class, we will be creating a multi-media slide show based on the novel Acceleration. You will each be in charge of 3 chapters of the novel.

Step One

On __________ you will review your chapters and decide a) what kind of slide(s) you want to create that best represents the chapter b) what caption you would like to put with the picture(s)

Your slide(s) can be:

a symbol (ie: journal, newspaper clippings, lost and found sign)
a setting (ie: a pool, inside a basement, a fast food restaurant (Dairy Barn)
an action scene using "characters" from the novel (ie: Duncan and Vinny researching in the library while Wayne plays around on the computer)

Obviously, creating a slide of an object is much easier than creating a slide that depicts an action so you will need to use a variety of techniques. Try to use all three ideas when creating your slide in order to earn optimum marks.

Step Two

On __________ you will have your "plan" finalized and you will present your ideas to the class. Since this is a class project we all need to agree on what goes into the presentation. You will receive marks for sharing your own ideas as well as your positive and constructive feedback on others' ideas.

Step Three

On ____________ we will shoot the slides. If you want to take pictures off school property, you are fully responsible. You can e-mail the pictures to _______________

Step Four

the chapters you were assigned
